Rebecca started her bakery business Chick Boss Cake, in 2011 and built it to 4 store locations with over a million in sales. At the end of 2023, she decided to close her successful bakery empire after embarking on a health journey where she had learned of the negative impacts of sugar, processed foods, alcohol and artificial food dyes & flavourings. She decided that her bakery business no longer aligned with this new and improved version of herself and was unable to continue contributing to an industry that no longer aligned with her core values of authenticity & integrity.
Since closing the doors to her dessert empire she has begun to write her second book (release date TBD) called: Wake Up & Smell The Coffee, that will share her emotional journey of realizing her life was beginning to feel deeply inauthentic and needed to readjust and realign to the new person she has become. Rebecca will be sharing about how we too often choose our comfort zones over choosing change and embarking on the unknown even when we know deep down that it's the right thing to do. She believes there are too many people who stay stuck in dead-end jobs, careers, businesses, friendships & relationships because it's easier than facing the truth even though the long-term happiness far outweighs the short-term discomfort of taking action.
Rebecca has been recognized via multiple media outlets for her exceptional entrepreneurial work and achievements. She was recognized as one of London's Top 20 Under 40 for business achievement, professional expertise and community involvement. She is also an artist & photographer and enjoys helping others by creating captivating content for them. She is the host of Scrap The Sweet Talk Podcast and loves to be a guest on other people's podcasts to share her knowledge and experiences with their listeners.
Connecting with people who exude kindness, authenticity & integrity is her favourite thing to do!
